Deep Silver FISHLABS hires three new employees in Senior positions [PRESS RELEASE]

On August 1, the Hamburg-based mobile games studio Deep Silver FISHLABS welcomed Henning Weiss as Senior VFX Artist, Phillip Chan as Senior Game Systems Designer and Ankur Suri as Senior Marketing Managers among their rows.

Deep Silver FISHLABS, the developer of acclaimed mobile games such as the Galaxy on Fire series, has once again expanded its personnel. Thanks to the hirings of Henning Weiss, Phillip Chan and Ankur Suri, the company has been able to fill the vacant positions of Senior VFX Artist, Senior Game Systems Designer and Senior Marketing Manager. Overall, Deep Silver FISHLABS now employs 92 staff members.

Henning Weiss aids the studio’s crew in the position of Senior VFX Artist. Prior to his new engagement, the trained media designer, who specializes in digital media, worked as 3D Artist at 49 Games and as Senior VFX Artist at Bigpoint. At Deep Silver FISHLABS, Weiss (41) will take over a central role in the coordination of the visual effects of a new AAA mobile game as well as other upcoming projects.

Another new addition to Deep Silver FISHLABS‘ team is Phillip Chan, who will work on a hitherto unannounced high-end game as Senior Game Systems Designer. In this capacity, Chan (33) ensures a smooth and fluid interplay of differing gameplay components on all relevant mobile platforms. Before, he worked as Lead Designer for Goodgame Studios in Germany and filled various capacities for companies such as EA Mythic, NCSoft or Carbine Studios in the United States.

The third new employee, who joined Deep Silver FISHLABS on August 1, is Ankur Suri. As Senior Marketing Manager, he will not only be responsible for the marketing management for proprietary IP and publishing titles alike, but he will also take over the marketing-sided supervision of selected games. Before moving to Germany, Suri (29) previously worked at Gameloft S.A. as Digital Marketing & PR Manager. He has also held varying Digital Marketing roles at MSL Group in India and SocialEyez-CARMA in Dubai.
