Clash of Hashtags: Interactive Social Game Clashtag to be released on the App Store and Google Play soon [PRESS RELEASE]
Clashtag, the new social game by ISBIT Games and Deep Silver Inc., is now available for iOS- and Android-powered smartphones in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The worldwide release of the app, which enables its players to explore and experience a vast number of photos from Instagram’s live feed in a playful way, is scheduled for summer 2015.
ISBIT Games and Deep Silver Inc. announced the worldwide release of Clashtag earlier today. While the diverting social game has already gone live as a free app on the App Store and Google Play in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, it will be released globally on iOS and Android in summer 2015. The publishing and marketing of the app will be handled by Deep Silver’s Hamburg-based mobile studio Deep Silver FISHLABS.
Clashtag centers around playful duels between friends or random contenders, who try to beat each other in a series of addictive mini games such as “Puzzle“, “Fill The Gap“ or “Most Likes?“. What makes these mini games particularly interesting is the fact that they are all based on images derived from Instagram’s live feed. Thus, no two game rounds are the same and there is no shortage of change and variation – with its unique approach Clashtag expands the exploration and experiencing of Instagram’s inspiring photo scape by a sportive complexion. To further personalize their gaming experiences, players can also upload their own images and define the hashtags on the basis of which the motifs of the individual game rounds are picked.
In addition, the app enables its players to like the images they have played with and to follow the Instagramers they have challenged. In this way, particularly committed Instagramers can use Clashtag to boost their profiles and gain followers and likes as a direct result of the game sessions they have played. On top of this, an integrated chat function inspires lively discussions before and after the challenges.
